My baby won't eat anything?

my 8 month old will not eat. she refuses the bottle, the spoon, everything. she is teething, but her teeth are halfway out already, so it is not like she's cutting teeth... she is active, plays a lot, is happy and has no symptoms of anything. i have been able to give her some food with a dropper but i stopped out of fear that she would get too used to it. has anybody else been here? what have you done? should i take her to the ped even if she does not appear sick?
