Boys find me intimidating?

Okay,so I asked my guy friends if I wasn't being asked out because no one was interested and they say it's because boys are very intimidated by me. Several even admitted to liking me but "didn't have the balls" to approach me. So my question is should I make myself more approachable? If so, how?
