How come at my new job none of the girls introduce themselves to me?

but almost all the guys do? I work in a restaurant. today was my 3rd day. I am 24 years old, male, handsome, very friendly, kind, professional. I am not a creep or anything and I am not looking to meet a girl (I have a girlfriend) but I was just wondering what the psychological explanation could be lol. are they intimidated by me? I would love to introduce myself to them but I just feel like, as the new hire, it is the employees duty to introduce themselves to me and make me feel welcome, not the other way around!
