What good pet snakes grow to be wide but only 2 ft long?

i had a corn snake and loved her but the only thing i dont like about corn snakes is that they stay so little. i mean they grow long but dont get wider than your finger. im scared to get a ball python because not only do they get thick but they get like over 6ft long. thats too big for me. im too intimidated to get a snake that big. i was wondering if theres good pet snakes that get considerable thick but only grow to be 2-3 ft long? any suggestions?
