African dwarf frog feeding?

Ok so I bought a african dwarf frog from petsmart today and I asked the guy there if they would eat tropical fish flakes and he said yes. Well I just fed my fish.. 1 betta 7 neon tetras 5or6 ghost shrimp. And the lil guy didnt go for it and I red something on the net that said that maybe I could use a eye dropper to take the food and squirt it over it's head.. Well that didnt work.. So now I'm questioning if he/she isnt hungry or if it's the flakes.. Help.. Thanks
